Role Overview

Key Responsibilities

As a Quantitative Researcher at QuantCo, you will:

  • Apply Economic and Statistical Models: Use models to analyze large datasets, providing insights and recommendations that drive business value.

  • Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with data scientists, economists, and software engineers to address technical and quantitative challenges.

  • Solve Complex Problems: Tackle a variety of business decisions and industry-specific challenges, applying both qualitative and quantitative analyses.

  • Develop Novel Solutions: Identify unique solutions and opportunities that others may overlook, balancing practical implementation with high-quality results.

Qualifications

Essential Requirements:

  • Educational Background: A degree in economics, statistics, mathematics, computer science, engineering, physics, or related fields from a leading university.

  • Quantitative Skills: Strong understanding of mathematical and statistical concepts used in common machine learning techniques, and interest in causal inference (e.g., A/B testing).

  • Programming Experience: Proficiency in coding and data manipulation using tools and languages such as Python (Pandas, XGBoost/LightGBM), R (dplyr, ggplot2), and git.

  • Problem-Solving Abilities: Demonstrated capability to identify and develop solutions for complex problems.

  • Professionalism: High level of commitment, reliability, and a balanced approach to pragmatism and perfectionism.

  • Language Skills: Business proficiency in English.

Desirable Skills:

  • Additional Tools and Languages: Experience with SQL, TensorFlow, cloud infrastructure, and Docker is a plus.
