The Arqus Talent Scholarship is a Scholarship Scheme designed to attract and retain talent at postgraduate level from around the world.
The Arqus Talent Scholarship represents a unique opportunity for aspiring scholars to realize their full potential, broaden their horizons, and make meaningful contributions to their respective fields and society at large. By fostering international collaboration, interdisciplinary exchange, and academic excellence, the scholarship embodies the spirit of the Arqus Alliance and its commitment to shaping the future of higher education and research in Europe and beyond.
This scholarship is open to talented graduates and students who want to pursue a Master’s or Doctoral Degree at one of the Arqus partner universities (Granada, Graz, Leipzig, Lyon 1, Maynooth, Minho, Padua, Vilnius and Wroclaw) including a compulsory mobility at a second Arqus partner.
Details of Arqus Talent Scholarship
The scholarship is composed of a subsistence allowance of 1,400.00€/month to cover the student’s living costs, medical insurance and a materials allowance.
In addition, the Arqus Talent Scholarship will cover the tuition fee at the student’s entrance university.
The Arqus European University Alliance would also like to support students with fewer opportunities under this scholarship scheme by providing a special needs fund of 250€/month.
Priority will be given to refugees/asylum seekers, students with fewer opportunities and applicants with a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree not obtained at the Arqus university where they will undertake the Master’s or doctoral studies or where they are currently enrolled.
The scholarship will be paid throughout the student’s studies with the following maximum duration but not beyond the end of the funding period of this scholarship scheme, which is 30.09.2026:
Requirements
You must be selected or have applied for a Master’s or doctoral programme at one of the Arqus universities
Have a minimum overall/average grade of B according to the ECTS grading system.
Please note that you are not eligible for the scholarship if you are already enrolled in the relevant Master’s or doctoral program.
The only exceptions to this rule are first-year doctoral students enrolled at Vilnius University and the University of Wroclaw, who can apply as well.
Successful applicants will also be required to participate actively in Arqus activities and act as Arqus Ambassadors within their two Arqus universities.
