The Chinese Government Scholarship and the Hainan Provincial Government Scholarship provide funding for the Hainan University China Link Scholarship.
The China Link Scholarship was created to foster academic friendships and understanding between young people from China and other countries. It also aims to create a forum for young people to collaborate and exchange ideas internationally.
In order to deepen the academic friendship and mutual understanding between Chinese and foreign young generation, and to build a platform for the international exchanges and cooperation of young talents, China Scholarship Council (CSC) has established the China Link Scholarship Program for international students and faculties hoping to engage in academic and research activities in China.
International faculty members and students wishing to do research and teach in China are encouraged to apply.
Eligibility
Applicants should be non-Chinese citizen, in good physical and mental condition, with good academic performance and conduct; Be obligated to observe Chinese laws and university’s regulations, respect Chinese culture and customs, and fulfill all the conditions of Chinese Entry-exit.
Be under 45 years of age when applying for general scholars. Be under 50 years of age when applying for senior scholars.
Language Requirements:
Applicants for Chinese-taught programs are required to obtain an HSK Band 4 with scores above 180 when applying;
Applicants for English-taught programs are required to obtain one of the following English tests: a score of 560 or above (paper-based test) or 78 or above (internet-based test) in the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) , or a minimum overall band of 6.0 （IELTS）when applying.
Condition of exemption of submitting English level certificates: English-speaking students (Countries with English as native language or official language).
Benefits
Successful applicants will receive a full scholarship from CSC during their stay in China, including
a tuition waiver,
free on-campus accommodation,
comprehensive medical insurance
monthly stipend of CNY 42,000 per year (CNY 3,000 for general scholars; CNY 3,500 for senior scholars).
Program Scheme
Funding Categories General scholar: applicable to current undergraduates or master students. Senior scholar: applicable to current Ph.D students or faculties.
Duration
1-12 months Start study in China no later than August 31, 2025.
Working Language English or Chinese, depending on the program provided by Hainan University.
Study/Research Fields:All disciplines other than Chinese language study.
