As a Research Engineer focused on Distributed Training, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our technology and optimizing the efficiency of our training processes.
Responsibilities: Your Role and Impact
In this role, you will:
Lead and Innovate: Spearhead research to develop a highly reliable and secure decentralized training orchestration solution at a massive scale.
Optimize Performance: Enhance the performance, cost-effectiveness, and resource utilization of AI workloads by applying the latest compute and memory optimization techniques.
Develop Open-Source Solutions: Contribute to our open-source libraries and frameworks designed for distributed model training, advancing the tools and resources available to the AI community.
Publish and Communicate: Share your research outcomes by publishing in top-tier AI conferences such as ICML and NeurIPS. Also, translate complex technical results into accessible content through technical blogs for our customers and developers.
Stay Ahead of the Curve: Keep up-to-date with the latest advancements in AI/ML infrastructure, decentralized training research, and identify opportunities to enhance our platform’s capabilities and user experience.
Requirements: What We’re Looking For
We seek candidates who possess:
Strong AI/ML Engineering Background: Extensive experience in designing and implementing end-to-end pipelines for training and deploying large-scale AI models.
Expertise in Distributed Training: Deep knowledge of distributed training techniques and frameworks (e.g., PyTorch Distributed, DeepSpeed, MosaicML’s LLM Foundry) and tools (e.g., Ray) to optimize AI workload performance and scalability.
Experience with Large-Scale Model Training: Proficiency in distributed training techniques, including data, tensor, and pipeline parallelism.
Understanding of MLOps Practices: Solid grasp of best practices in model versioning, experiment tracking, and continuous integration/deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
Passion for AI Democratization: Enthusiasm for advancing decentralized AI model training and making AI capabilities more accessible to researchers, developers, and businesses worldwide.
