What You'll Be Doing
As a Machine Learning Engineer at Happy Scribe, your work will be pivotal in advancing our technology. Your role will include:
Building Scalable Infrastructure: Develop and enhance infrastructure for future-ready transcription services by modularizing and optimizing services.
Advancing AI Models: Improve and innovate on deep learning models including speech-to-text, speaker recognition, and computer vision technologies.
Streamlining ML Operations: Create tools for model updates, competitor benchmarking, and automation of routine tasks.
Enhancing System Performance: Identify and fix bottlenecks in the transcription pipeline to boost performance and reduce turnaround time.
What We’re Looking For
Required Experience:
Background: 2+ years as a Machine Learning Engineer (or researcher) or 2+ years in software engineering with a focus on ML.
Deep Learning Expertise: Strong foundation in deep learning and its mathematical principles, with a keen interest in staying current with research.
Product Focus: A mindset oriented towards building solutions that meet customer needs and understanding the business implications of your work.
Learning Agility: Willingness to tackle new technologies and subjects, with a pragmatic approach to solving problems.
Security Awareness: Commitment to designing systems with robust information security measures.
Mentorship Skills: Ability to mentor and help others grow, with bonus points for experience in guiding junior engineers.
Bonus Skills:
Experience with SQL, TensorFlow, cloud infrastructure, or Docker.
Familiarity with our tech stack: Ruby on Rails, React, Python, Heroku, AWS.
