Responsibilities:
Assist in designing, developing, and maintaining Shopify applications to meet platform standards and user expectations.
Collaborate with the development team to brainstorm, design, and implement new features that enhance user engagement and functionality.
Implement robust code solutions using languages like Ruby on Rails, JavaScript, PHP, Python and Liquid to improve app performance and reliability on Shopify.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to app functionality and performance, providing effective solutions and enhancements within the Shopify framework.
Assist in the creation and maintenance of comprehensive documentation for app specifications, installation guides, and user manuals to support both the development team and end-users.
Stay updated with the latest developments in Shopify and e-commerce technologies, applying new features and tools to enhance app functionalities and user engagement.
Qualifications:
Currently pursuing or have obtained a Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
Proficiency in in Shopify’s required programming languages, such as Ruby on Rails, JavaScript (particularly React and Node.js), PHP, or Python. Familiarity with Shopify's Liquid template language.
Demonstrated experience in developing applications specifically for the Shopify platform.
A deep understanding of the core principles of e-commerce and the Shopify ecosystem.
Proficient in using version control systems, particularly Git.
Excellent problem-solving capabilities and meticulous attention to detail.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with team members and clients.
An understanding of UI/UX design principles tailored to e-commerce contexts.
